Reformation 500 Worship Opportunities

In celebration and observance of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, several services of worship are scheduled throughout the mission district. It is significant that, as a mission district and family of faith, all are invited to gather at the same hour on Reformation Sunday, October 29. Please plan to attend the service nearest you as you are able.

Dutch Fork, SC area:
Sunday, October 29, 4:00 p.m.
Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church, 1307 Drayton Street, Newberry, SC 29108
Pr. Leon Rawl will be preaching. Clergy will not be vesting; there will be a reception after the service.

Gastonia, NC area:
Sunday, October 29, 6:30 p.m.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 805 S. York St. Gastonia, NC
Clergy are invited to vest, and the color of the day is red. A reception will follow the service.

Hickory, NC area:
Sunday, October 29, 4:00 p.m.
New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 2120 Startown Rd. Hickory, NC.
Pr. Nathan Yoder will be preaching. Clergy will not be vesting; there will be a reception following the service.

Salisbury, NC area:
Sunday, October 29, 4:00 p.m.
Organ Lutheran Church, 1515 Organ Church Rd. Salisbury, NC
Pr. Mark Ryman will be preaching. Clergy are invited to vest, and the color of the day is red. There will be a reception following the service.
