John 6_11

John 6:1-15

Imagine being among the crowds which were following Jesus around as recorded in the gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. You heard about Jesus restoring sight to the blind, mobility to the lame, health to the sick, casting out demons and forgiving sins. You came to hear and see Jesus for yourself when suddenly you are a participant of an impromptu picnic.

You sit down with the crowd and notice the picnic is about to begin with only five loaves of bread and a couple fish. Sitting among this crowd of thousands, you are not expecting much, if anything, to reach you. Soon, you consume as much as you want and there is much more left over! Jesus provided all you needed!

The entire gospel of Jesus Christ is like that. Jesus provides all the grace you will ever need and he keeps on providing it abundantly. All he asks of you is that you believe and accept his invitation. Crowds are still faithfully following Jesus while many are just letting him pass by. Jesus is still inviting all who desire his abundant blessings, mercy, and love, and much more than you will ever need. Come and see!

Prayer: Gracious Lord, help me realize the overwhelming abundance of your blessings; guide me as I explore your abundant mercy and love. Amen.
