1corinthians 7-24

1 Corinthians 7:10-24

“In whatever condition you were called, brothers and sisters, there remain with God.”

My mom was feisty, funny, and full of love. Her lessons will remain with me forever, but perhaps the most important thing she taught me came as her earthly journey was nearing the end. A terrible disease had ravaged her body, but God’s spirit was certainly present and his light shown brightly from her hospital room. People whose lives she had touched stopped by—nurses came back after their shifts to see, not my mom, but the light of Christ that draws us in and gives us hope. We all witnessed her faith and heard his words flow from her lips. Despite her physical suffering, she knew our loving Savior had never abandoned her and was always present and in charge. He used her and her condition to reach out and touch the lives of others. Everyone who witnessed her faith knew that such strength could only be found from our Savior who joins us here in whatever “condition” we find ourselves. He is ever-present, comforting us with his love and giving us peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me in whatever condition I find myself to stay strong, be a witness to your grace, and have the peace of knowing that you are leading and I am right where you need me to be. Amen.

  1. Danny Ward says:

This is truly what the scripture says in Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
This would be your legacy to live this way so that His light would always shine through us.
