Concordia’s “Tell It on the Mountain”
Sunday, July 14 –Thursday, July 18
6 – 8:30pm, Dinner at 6
Ages K – 100
Sunday July 21 is VBS Sunday – Picnic after 11 service
Bethel Lutheran Church and Puitt Chapel Methodist church will again be teaming together from Sunday, July 21st – Wednesday, the 24th, 6:00-8:00 PM, here at Bethel to present “Tell it on the Mountain.” At Tell It on the Mountain, our 2013 VBS, our children will learn about the Only True God through five mountaintop Bible accounts where God meets His people with clear messages of His might and power. God’s message of salvation through Jesus our Savior is one to shout out and share from the mountaintops to the four corners of the world. As the children hear the Bible stories, they will learn who our almighty God is and how He works in their faith and life. Just as solid rock walls provide a secure anchor for climbers to ascend the mountain face and strong knots in their rope hold them close to that rock, God’s Word is rock solid truth. God Himself is present in His Word, providing a solid anchor and holding us securely against the buffeting of sin, Satan, and death.
This year’s theme for Vacation Bible School, July 14—19, at Christiana Lutheran Church is: Tell it on the Mountain, Where Jesus Christ is Lord. At “Tell It on the Mountain” children & adults will learn about the One True God through five mountaintop Bible accounts where God meets His people with clear messages of His might and power. God’s message of salvation through Jesus our Savior is one to shout out and share from the mountaintops to the four corners of the world. The theme verse is a wonderful summary: “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:3) Denise Koehn is the director this year. We’re looking forward to an exciting week of VBS at Christiana this summer.
