My name is Samuel G. Pawlos. My story begins in Addis Ababa — the capital city of Ethiopia — where I was born and raised as a traditional Christian in a society where closed culture and religion played a major role in our life. I have been a believer for all of my life and have been a member of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus.
God has blessed me with a wonderful family. I have been married to Rahel Zeleke for 6 years. I love my wife, Rahel; she is a big part of my life, both in raising our kids and in my ministry. God has blessed us with 2 daughters, Milka (4 years old) and Ruth (3 years old). As a family, we spend quality time together eating and going out to visit brothers and sisters in Christ. Most importantly, we worship God together, both in our home and at our local church.
I felt the call to preaching and teaching the Gospel as a young man. I have responded to the call of God in my life by serving my fellow Ethiopians. God made this call clear to me when I was a teenager. My mission field is the greater Ethiopian diaspora community in North America and now, specifically, the growing Ethiopian community in Charlotte, North Carolina.
My vision for this mission is to help this diaspora Ethiopian community understand the purposes of God by equipping them with the Word of God, prayer, Godly community, and making them witnesses for Christ outside of their community. My focus will be preaching the Gospel to advance the Kingdom of God. In the process, I want to be a witness for Christ to all people.
May God’s will be fulfilled!
